The Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) at Kyoto University is excited to announce the call for applications for the 48th Southeast Asia Seminar!

This year’s seminar theme is “Co-creation of New Urban Living: Advancing Quality of Life in the Climate Change Era“. Participants will have the unique and transdisciplinary opportunity to engage in enriching discussions and hands-on fieldwork. Our esteemed lecturers include experts from architecture, air conditioning, energy sectors, urban studies as well as government and municipal authorities. Together, we will explore innovative living-environment and air-conditioning solutions tailored to the warming climates of tropical and subtropical regions.

Who Should Apply:

Early-career researchers with a Master’s degree or higher
Practitioners, activists, and government officers with more than two years of relevant experience in fields related to the seminar topic
